This is a recording by vocalist Hjalmar E. Rören of the song “Det Norske Flag”, a Norwegian melody composed by L. M. Ibsen in the year 1823. The Norwegian transcription is based on the source “Til det norske flag” from the Nasjonalbiblioteket (The National Library of Norway). It was somewhat modernized by using “ø” for “ö” and “å” for “aa”. However, the archaic spelling is retained (though capital letters on non-proper nouns has been eliminated). The recording was made in 1906, and is from the Library of Congress. The audio is altered to be more suitable for listening.
