Zeus is a powerful deity of the sky and thunder within the world of Cwelythvir. He was one of the Id Imprisoners, the leading deities who bound the Archaic Divinities to their prisons. As a reward for their service, these deities were gifted many realms, one of them being Mount Olympus. Along with his wife Juno, Zeus reigns supreme over the other entities who reside in this realm.
Today, Zeus is one of the most widely-worshipped and widely-feared deities in all of Cwelythvir. His power is beseeched to provide safety during storms, and for courage during warfare.
When the first flora and fauna were created during the time of the Empyrean Apostates, Zeus took the essence of an avian Archaic Divinity to sculpt the first eagles. As such, these raptors have always been fiercely loyal to the deity, and are considered to be his premier symbol.
