The origins of the Bonecrusher Slug are murky at best. Some believe that they were the result of magickal experimentation. However, ancient cave paintings found near the Ports of the Delta suggest that they are much older.
Ecology:
Though first thought to have originated in the Ports of the Delta, Bonecrusher Slugs have since spread across the tropical to sub-tropical regions of the world. They have much the same range as regular alligators and crocodiles, though these beasts are in need of more moisture to help maintain their slimy coating.
Rarely, they may be seen in the sewer systems of large cities. Here, feasting upon rats and mice they grow to immense size. One particularly large specimen was seen to have grown to nearly 25 feet long. However, most other Bonecrusher Slugs grow to a length of about 10 to 15 feet.
In the wild, they feed on most anything that they can get their maws around. Of course, large four-legged creatures are their preferred prey. That is not to say that bipeds are off the menu.
When threatened, or particularly hungry, the Bonsecrusher Slug will not hesitate to attack. Many an exotic animal keeper has lost their arms to this beast.
